Assembly of an electric motor

Here are listed the activities you have to do to overcome this lesson:

1. Watch the video. It shows all the steps you have to follow to build an electric motor.
2. Assembly the electric motor following the instructions given on the video.
3. While assembling the engine, record a video showing the assembly process of the engine.
4. Once it has been assembled, record a video with the engine already spinning.
5. Finally, you have to create a blog to show the results. At the blog you will have to publish the following entries:

• 1st entry: List of materials. There is a list of materials on the video. You will have to find the name of the materials in Catalan, and introduce them in the list.
• 2nd entry: Video with the assembly of the electric motor.
• 3rd entry: Video that shows the electric motor functioning.
• 4th entry: Answer the following questions and publish an entry with the answers.

QUESTIONS:

- How does the engine you've built work?

- Why one of the ends must be completely sanded and, instead, the other only half?

- Has your engine run properly? Have you had to solve any problem?

- How could you make the motor spin faster?

- Put another magnet on top of the engine (keep it still stopped with your hand) opposite to the magnet below. Does it work better or worse? Why? What if you flip the magnet?

- What is the role of the wires?
